Scotland

Had an uneventful flight from London to Aberdeen and our friends Jenny & Brian from the Viking Transatlantic picked us up and took us to their beautiful home in Meikle Wartle, a tiny village about 30 minutes out in the countryside. The views above are from our bedroom window! We were welcomed by their four Labrador retrievers who had left us a lovely welcome note.

We had a lunch of soup and scones-just the thing did a chilly (yay!) day followed by a tasting of Scotc…ahem, whiskey. Also good for a chilly day.

Today we are training it to Dundee to the new museum, more in a bit.

  1. Enjoying all your blogs Clay. Especially enjoyed London where I lived for 3 years in the 80s. You certainly did a huge amount of walking. I felt worn out just reading about it. Lovely photos of Scotland. Where do you head after the UK?

    • After Aberdeen we are driving with our friends to Glasgow for 2 days via Loch Ness. Then they head back home and we train to Edinburgh for two nights then fly to Dublin for three. After that we are back in Porto for two weeks before meeting cruise friends at the airport in Milan and spending six days driving towards Rome.
We all board Norwegian Star on Nov 5 for her transatlantic to a Miami followed by 11 more days aboard to the southern Caribbean. We disembark on Nov 30th. After that we have no plans!
