Almost vacation time.

It’s cruise time again.  Seems like forever since we disembarked from the Viking cruise in Budapest. We are taking a 11 day cruise from New York to San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Kitts and Tortola.

Only the last two are new ports for us, but when our Raleigh friends Doug & George booked the cruise and put out a wide email for friends to join them we decided it would be a relaxing fun time. And since it’s been a year since any significant time off we are excited that we only have one more week of work and lucky Mike is off for Good Friday so he only has four days!

We fly to New York on Saturday morning and have tickets with our friends Yost and Sam to see Bette Midler in Hello Dolly!

On Sunday, the four of us meet up with Doug and George and some of their friends for brunch. On Monday, Mike, Yost and I are going to the 9/11 museum (Sam has to head back to DC on Sunday evening) and hopefully to Katz’s Deli for lunch. On Tuesday we board the ship and depart that afternoon

No promises on how “live” the blog will be but I will be updating as I can, so come on along….

  1. OH GOODY!!!! I get to go on another adventure with you. Thanks for the invite! It’ll be soooo much fun! By the way, my fav tour from Tortola is to go to Jost Van Dyke and spend the day drinking too many painkillers and having the best lobster quesadilla’s ever!!!! Enjoy yourselves, honey! If you don’t hear from me, it’s because I’m getting ready for my TA from MIA to Copenhagen. HUGS! Sandy

    • That Tortola excursion is Peggy & Lowell’s fav too, but I couldn’t get anyone else excited about it. We are gonna go to the other side of the island and visit a rum distillery!

      • We did a rum distillery in George Town Cayman Islands in January. It was a great tour. Hope you both enjoy yours as well! Sandy

  2. Hi clay and thanks for your new post. I too have just started a big trip to Europe and have just completed my first leg to Singapore where I have 2 nights with my cousin before flying on to Paris. I’m now using my smartphone so don’t know if I can attach my itinerary from here but I’ll try. Basically 3 days in paris; 3 in Brussels; 2 in Amsterdam to visit keukenhof tulip gardens. Then I fly to Vienna for a 14 day trafalgar tour of eastern Europe. After that a baltic cruise on the regal princess then 2 weeks in London with friends. So 2 months away from my beloved husband.

I won’t be doing blogs as I’m on the move too much but I’m on Facebook if you want to join me.

You 2 have a wonderful time and so will I.

    Cheers, Sandy
